Shopping adventure
Buying my much needed coffee I witnessed how the modern little girl handles emergencies. The girl of maybe 3 or 4 years was strolling through the lanes, loaded with some bags of sweets. At one point when she stood next to me she realized that mommy was out of sight.
Mama?
No answer. She looked a little puzzled, peered around and tried again. This time louder.
Mama?
No avail. She headed along the newspapers, turned back after two steps, gazed around and took a deep breath. I got ready for a major crying little girl incident as she looked more and more concerned and went through my kindergarten experiences on what to do next. Then it broke out
MAAAAMA!!!???
Amazing! This was not whining by any means, but rather a commanding voice. A veiled Mama peered around a distant corner, said something in turkish and the little drill sergeant headed off for the happy family reunion.
